Pricing strategies

If you will like more add on such as to specifically choose the location, we adopt a Pizza-Menu pricing strategy.  Of course, the more toppings you will like, the more expensive it will be.  Even better if you choose the Canvas Painting, we will touch up the artwork for you to display anywhere you like.

Typically, a project costs about $100 per person and artwork costs.

Promotions

As a non-profit organisation, we are cost effective and each year we spend less than $1000 or even $0 on marketing efforts. In our 8 years of being a registered charity, we spend less than 1% as fundraising costs. We believe that the positive experiences by our participants speaks for it self and help with peer to peer marketing. Social Creatives adopt Business to Business models through the engagement of corporate groups in our programmes. We feel honoured to be introduced to potential clients, collaborators or perhaps invite us to give a lunch talk in your company =)

Programme Experience

Most of our programme involve either (a) Painting a public mural (b) Painting a canvas. There are add ons such as the location, type of artwork, involving other groups such as low income children or people with disability to share the fun with you and make the project more meaningful.

We aim to provide an experiential engaging, exciting and learning process for participants through our sessions.

Art Appreciation and Awareness

Participants will be introduced to simple theories of art appreciation and be briefed on the artistic styles used for the mural design. This component allows participants to have a greater understanding of murals in general and allow them to distinguish between murals and other forms of street art such as graffiti. The relevance of community art in society will also be highlighted. Input and feedback on the artistic styles and design from the participants will be encouraged for an inclusive engagement.

Colouring Techniques 101
Simple methodologies of colour-mixing and basic sketching skills will be taught. Participants will also be provided with guidance on simple blending and shading techniques. Experimenting with simple brush strokes and pressures will also be expected during the execution process.

Exploring Talent and Empowerment
Certain parts of the design and painting process can be made available for the participants to make decisions on, such as the choice of colours to be painted within certain spots of the pre-outlined sketches. Occasionally, participants may also be allowed to choose certain designs (depending on project requirements) before painting so as to give them a better sense of ownership to the mural.

Interactive Bonding and Cohesion
Just like food (yummy yum yum), community art brings people together and forge better bonds and interaction amongst each other. Through such projects, people are placed into a more interactive and fun space to learn and bond. Such an activity can also help to provide opportunities for individuals from all walks of life to interact with each other and foster a better understanding and awareness for fellow members of the community.

A Sense of Belonging and Ownership to Our Surroundings
The first form of murals existed as cave drawings during the time of our ancestors, acting as a form of territorial marking or to a form of communication to other people. Similarly, we believe that the murals we paint are just like these cave drawings which seek to connect people to their surroundings through the messages that they portray. Such murals allow people to see Singapore as their canvas, waiting to be painted and to claim a sense of ownership to their home.
