We do murals to impact lives and society
We were supposed to organise a dinner to invite all our friends and family members inline with our gotong royong spirit. However due to lack of resources, the best way to celebrate our birthday is through improving ourselves. Last year, the team had a retreat, board inclusive dinner and a series of Let's Talk with our stakeholders. Click our Singapore Roar mural to view our advancement plan.

SOCIAL CREATIVES CELEBRATES SG50
“August 26 2011: Sunday Times, Dr Tony Tan’s response to Social Creatives which organises the painting of murals in public spaces was:
“We can do a great deal to encourage young people. They are creative but face a lot of challenges in pursuing their dreams. What they do is good for society. It makes Singapore a more vibrant and fair place.”
25 July 2015: It is with our best of knowledge that no one hired by Social Creatives such as its management team or artists have any political affiliation or membership with any political parties in Singapore or overseas. Currently it's a busy time in Singapore due to the socio-political climate and Singapore's 50th Anniversary. We seek your kind understanding for any delays.

About Social Creatives
Who Are We:
Social Creatives is a non-profit arts social enterprise that promotes heART in eARTh. We believe that a picture speaks a thousand words and an emotion moves a thousand motion. As a ground up initiative, Social Creatives gets our hand dirty with paints. We have been moved when we saw seniors crying tears of joy when we painted murals in their homes and feel great joy when a nurse at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) told us that our murals in their confidential wards have brought happiness to their patients.
Why Mural Painting
Do you know what’s the first form of arts? Cave Paintings! The painting on walls are known as Murals. Through mural-making, we are an arts intermediary that connects
people to social issues, one another and to society. We believe in the process and outcomes of mural painting to best bring our both artistic and social impacts.
OUR PROCESSES: Team building, corporate-social investment, participative engagement, and artworks adoption
OUR OUTCOMES: Public Murals, Murals in One Room Flats, Welfare Murals, Void Deck Art Galleries and Art Jam
ARTISTIC IMPACT: Artistic exposure, artistic appreciation, city beautification, arts therapy, cultural diplomacy, audience development and art intervention
SOCIAL IMPACT: Sense of belonging, improved esteem, happiness, integration inclusion of communities and we also promote the software in our hardware.
painting Berlin 2014
Painting Berlin was lead by a team of 7 ( artists, coordinators and assistant artists). Social Creatives was introduced to a youth culture centre and shelter called Linse at Frankfurtur Alley. Social Creatives held sessions with its beneficiaries to get a better understanding of their culture and interests. Through these consultation sessions, a series of sketches were illustrated on the walls to maximize the process and outcome of community art. Fringe activities such as street art exposure, learning about the Berlin Wall as well as graffiti canvas battles were organised too.
